It is the SIN of our SILENCE ... that allows the victimization
of women and children to flourish --
both in the world and in the church.

Likewise, it is the SIN of OUR SECRETS that allows
the cycle of addiction to flourish --
in our homes, our families and our churches.

As Christians, we must acknowledge and confront abuse
wherever it exists, particularly within our own church families.

We must also be willing to be open and honest about
our addictions; acknowledge our problems, our struggles,
and learn what it means to truly heal and grow in community.
-- We cannot heal what we cannot reveal. --
